Teams could protest against Brawns rear wing

Max Mosley, president of the sport’s FIA ruling body, expects rival teams to protest the Brawn, Toyota and Williams machines as soon as practice for the Australian Grand Prix starts.

The storm centres on the cars’ rear diffusers – a shaped section of the underbody which boosts downforce and reduces drag.

Ferrari team principal Stefano Domenicali said: "We are convinced that certain interpretations that have been applied do not correspond to the nature of the rules.

"There needs to be a great sense of responsibility on everyone’s part. I hope this issue can be resolved quickly."
