Button - I never doubted myself

JENSON BUTTON revelled in his first Grand Prix victory for three years and roared: I never doubted myself.

The Brit celebrated his Aussie GP triumph by sharing a lunchtime plate of fish ’n chips and a half of beer with his stunning girlfriend Jessica Michibata at a beachside restaurant yesterday.

The Frome flier was happy to pose for photographs with Formula One fans strolling along the promenade in the Melbourne suburb.

And Button revealed he was doubly determined to enjoy his win — having had to miss out on the celebrations following his last victory.

He had to fly off to the Far East on a promotional tour just hours after taking the chequered flag in the Hungarian GP in 2006.
